Unfortunately, it can also affect smaller businesses that lack the SEO infrastructure to stay safe. Want to ensure your site is set up to win in the new Google landscape? Reach out so we can talk SEO.
Google's AI Overview has been making waves since its release on May 14th, causing equal parts excitement and trepidation. If you've seen any of the funny results it has spit out so far, you're probably also a little concerned. From an SEO perspective, it's unclear how AI Overview results perform compared to normal organic results. Want to remove your site from Google AI Overview? It is possible with a nosnippet tag! The catch: this will result in no meta description at all. It's worth weighing the pros and cons of a nosnippet tag before implementation. Reach out to us if you'd like to hear our take.
