Everyone likes to get a deal and Google's making it easier for shoppers to find them with updates to the "Deal" section of the Google SERP. They're also starting to display member price discounts for certain advertisers so potential customers see the true price they would pay if they're a member of that brand. If you haven't been focusing on Merchant Promotions for your Google Shopping Ads, it might be time to start. Reach out if you'd like help.

Google announced major updates to how it handles search queries, both in terms of reporting and negating. Now, misspelled search queries are reported with the correctly spelled search queries instead of being listed as "other" in search query reports. Also, if you add a negative keyword, misspellings of that keyword will also be negated proactively. These changes should help streamline search query management but, as always, at the expense of some control.

With the proliferation of AI content, social selling, and influencer culture, it's getting harder to sift out which content is valuable. We feel it as content consumers and Google is reacting to it in an effort to maintain credibility as an accurate information provider. To do so, they are preferencing content created by known creators in their organic ranking algorithms. Tapping into the authority that independent creators have already developed can be a valuable way to get your brand or products in front of the right people.

Enhanced Conversions allow you to better track conversion activity from people who click on your ads and then take action on your website. They help you receive more conversion credit by sending hashed first-party data instead of solely relying on third-party cookie tracking. The benefits are enormous, but the setup can be daunting. Google's new Chrome extension makes that setup easier. Or, if you still don't want to deal with it, reach out to us for help.
